2013台北國際牛肉麵節開跑囉！主辦單位自9月1日起，一口氣推出3類賽事總獎金、獎品超過40萬元，並將在11月9-10日壓軸登場，將帶給市民一個濃郁的牛肉麵饗宴。主辦單位並宣佈，只要在活動官網投票，選出心目中最喜歡的吉祥物，就有機會或的免費的牛肉麵兌換券。
2013台北國際牛肉麵節開跑，9月1日起陸續推出「遇見?牛肉麵」徵文評選、「全國大開嚐麵」聯合行銷優惠、「廚神爭霸賽」、「國際名廚邀請賽」等，最後在11月9-10日在台北花博公園舉辦的「九牛奔騰?大開場麵嘉年華會」壓軸登場。
話說牛肉麵江湖一直以來山頭林立、群雄割據，北市自2005年辦理首屆牛肉麵節至今出現「牛魔王」、「牛媽媽」、「楚牛香」及「牛大廚」等4位箇中好手，各擁江山與粉絲團。不過，這樣四足鼎立的局面，終於將在今年的牛肉麵節來場比粉絲、拼人氣的網路票選對決。
主辦單位表示，即日起一直到10月31日止，民眾只要到活動官網投下心目中最喜歡的吉祥物，就有機會獲得11月9-10日在圓山花博公園舉辦的嘉年華「超值牛肉麵兌換券」。
